Agency Partners & Service History
Future Care Planning Services is a partnership of The Al Sigl Community of Agencies, Lifespan of Greater Rochester and the Arc of Monroe.
The partners came together in 2001 because individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities were living longer, and too often outliving their main caregivers, their parents. The result was family crisis because little planning was done for the future care of the person with the disability. The B. Thomas Golisano Foundation provided initial funding. Over time, the planning service has expanded to planning for any individual, and 18 and older, with any disability. The Community Pooled Trust opened in XXXX. The Golisano Life Enhancement Fund launched in XXXX.
The Al Sigl Community of Agencies is collaborative community network that provides high-quality, cost-effective real estate and business services, while fostering community awareness and philanthropic support to a growing array of nonprofit organizations that serve children and adults with disabilities® and special needs.
Lifespan of Greater Rochester is a regional nonprofit providing information, guidance and services for older adults and caregivers. All services are available in Monroe County, and some services are available throughout the Finger Lakes region.
